See Someone’s Connections On LinkedIn

Table of Contents

Here’s how to see somebody’s connections on LinkedIn directly:

  1. Select the second icon at the top bar of your LinkedIn homepage to access My Network.

  2. On the left rail, click on Connections to see your connections list.

When you access your connections, you can sort them by recently added, first, or the last name. You can also search by location, industry, or company.

The professional networking website LinkedIn makes six degrees of separation look old-fashioned. You can see that person’s connections when connected to a member.

You can use this to recruit new employees or find the next best thing. But did you know there’s more you can do with LinkedIn connections?

Let’s check it out!

Networking For The Right Reasons

Connecting with everyone you know can send the WRONG message. Rather than building your professional network, it can seem like you’re networking for its own sake.

Ask yourself: Would this person talk to me about a job or recommend me to an employer? It might be a good idea to add this person as a connection if the answer is yes.

Use Your Existing Network To Reach New Connections

Make sure you first connect with people you know when creating a LinkedIn profile.

Find friends, classmates, and coworkers by syncing your email contacts & using LinkedIn’s search bar. Get introduced.

See if you have any mutual connections with someone you’ve never met. You can ask your connections for an introduction if that’s the case.

How To View A Connection's Profile Page Via The LinkedIn Homepage

Here’s how to find your connection’s profile:

  1. Navigate to a connection’s profile by typing their name in the search bar at the top of your LinkedIn homepage & selecting it from the dropdown that appears.

  2. Click (number) connections below their profile picture.

  3. On the People tab, click on a name to view that member’s profile, or use the additional filters to filter your view results on top of your screen.

As for the mobile version, here’s what you do to view a connection’s connections:

  1. Navigate to the profile of the connection whose connections you want to view.

  2. Tap (number) connections below their profile picture. You can view the connections listed under the People tab.

How Can You View Someone's Network Without Being Connected?

There are two ways you can go about this. There’s a workaround through LinkedIn’s public profile.

Click on the “See All” button on the right-hand side of the profile to do a general search for the person. You’ll see all their LinkedIn connections, even if they’re not your contacts.

LinkedIn Premium is the second workaround.

Does LinkedIn Show You How Many Times Someone Views Your LinkedIn Profile?

Halfway down your LinkedIn homepage is a “Who’s Viewed My Profile.”

It shows you two statistics: how many times your profile has been viewed (profile views) in the last week & how many times you’ve search results mentioned you in the last week.

What If You Can't See Mutual Connections On LinkedIn?

Your first-degree connections will always see shared connections regardless of which setting you choose. Your connection can hide connections they don’t want you to see.

The member’s profile won’t have a See connections option. This is a LinkedIn feature. The connections button won’t be clickable.

How To "Disconnect" From A LinkedIn Connection

Sometimes you accept a connection or contact from someone you no longer want to follow for whatever reason–spam posting, unprofessionalism, or just general differences of opinion.

Removing them from your connections list is the best thing to do.

  1. Log in to your LinkedIn account.

  2. Click “Contacts” to bring up your connections page.

  3. Click “Remove Connections.” The page will bring you to the Remove Connections page to edit your contacts.

  4. Select the people you want to unfollow and click “Remove Connections.”

What Does Authwall Mean?

Authwall is a susceptible scraping detection feature LinkedIn added & strengthened.

It rarely allows public views from non-authorized accounts, so scraping without an account is impossible.
