LinkedIn Automation, Messaging & Outreach Tool – Kennected

Use These LinkedIn Messaging Scripts To Generate More Revenue

Whether you want to generate more leads, find more prospects, make new connections, increase brand awareness, or find high-quality clients, LinkedIn is the best place to accomplish your goals. It is the biggest social networking platform for professionals online, with over 756 million users around the world.

This platform is full of decision-makers, CEOs, managers, marketers, entrepreneurs, and professionals from all kinds of industries. LinkedIn is the place to be if you want to generate more revenue—and you can do it all without having to spend a single dollar on ads. But to achieve this, you need to learn how to use LinkedIn properly.

Kennected has come up with a handy set of messaging scripts that will help you succeed on LinkedIn. We have excellent scripts that you can tailor to your specific needs, whether you want to recruit, network, or sell on LinkedIn.

These scripts are highly personalized so you can connect with your target audience more effectively without them thinking that you’re a spammer. Kennected knows the importance of a personalized approach when it comes to B2B lead generation. The old, sales-y approach is no longer working, so you need to find a better way that feels natural.

Use these scripts to build rapport, establish trust, and get your perfect prospects to say “YES” while maintaining conversation. Let’s dive in.

Connection Request Message

LinkedIn is perfect for building a network of leads, prospects, followers, and loyal customers—and it all starts with a perfectly-written connection request. The goal of the connection request message is to get the person to click “Accept”.

Your connection request message should be able to answer the question: “why is this person trying to connect with me?”

It should also give them a compelling reason to do so. Kennected recommends keeping it short: less is more when it comes to connection requests. This is your first contact with your lead, after all. They don’t know you yet, and they don’t have any reason to maintain a conversation—yet.

Personalize your message by using information about your prospect including their first name. When people see their name in a message, it immediately grabs their attention. This gives you a bit of time to accomplish the other goals of your connection request, which is to create familiarity by finding commonalities. Find out if they went to the same school, share the same interests, or have a few mutual connections.

Whatever you decide to write, you need to make sure you are being respectful and genuine.

1st Follow-Up Message

Once they have accepted your connection request, it’s time to send your first follow-up message. The goal of the first follow-up is to build trust and rapport by starting a conversation. To do this, you have to make the conversation about them. Cater to their goals, interests, and passions. Apply the Theory of Reciprocity: offer your network and find ways to give value to your lead.

Don’t be overly sales-y. Instead, try being friendly and conversational. Ask them questions and genuinely pay attention to their answers. This is the best way to start building that connection.

2nd Follow-Up Message

This is the message you send them if they do not respond to the prior message. The goal is still to create familiarity by starting a conversation and providing value, but you also want to stay top of mind. Some people don’t reply simply because they forgot or because they have other things to do. Give them the opportunity to respond by reopening the conversation.

Use this second follow up to give them an insight to who you are, what you do, and how you can add value to them. Ask questions to determine their pain points. Finally, add a soft CTA or call to action in order to encourage them to keep the conversation going.

3rd Follow-Up Message

The third follow-up is if they still don’t respond to your prior message. The goal is to move them off of LinkedIn by scheduling a meeting. Here you want to be confident without coming across as pushy or sales-y. Be direct with your intention to schedule a meeting with them, but don’t be demanding.

Remind them that you have been connected for a few days now and that you would like to keep the conversation going so you can help them with their pain points.

Keep in mind their perspective: your leads are always thinking: “what’s in it for me?”

You need to be able to provide an answer to that. Even with your third follow-up message, try to keep it short and direct to the point. If possible, talk about the challenges they are facing and your proposed solutions.

Finally, add your call to action. This is when you put the ball in their court and suggest a meeting. You can even take it a step further and offer up a link to your calendar. This also makes it easier to set up the meeting.

Here are some of Kennected’s messaging scripts for LinkedIn based on the approach style: networking, sales, and recruiting. Use the templates that suit your current goals and the particular lead you are talking to.

When using these templates in your Kennected sequences, make sure to use the correct tag. For example, we use [firstname] as a placeholder. When copying and pasting a template into your sequence, delete the placeholder [firstname] and replace with the appropriate tag by selecting the button.
