How To Send Automated Emails To Your List In HubSpot

Today we are going to teach you how to do just that.

Automating Your Emails in HubSpot

You can create automated emails that you can use in your HubSpot workflows. Keep in mind that this can only be done via the HubSpot Marketing Hub with a Professional or Enterprise plan.

In order to send an email through your HubSpot workflow, you need to create a marketing email for automation and save it. You have three options: use the standard editor to create automated marketing emails; use the drag and drop editor; or use the workflows tool.

If you want to use the standard editor, open your HubSpot profile and go to ‘Email’ under the ‘Marketing’ section. Choose Create email on the upper right and a dialog box will appear. From there, you can select ‘Automated’. After this, you choose a template, enter the Email name, and select Create email.

Compose your email and choose the Recipients tab. Make sure that you select Save for automation under Select recipients. After that, you simply click on ‘Next’, review the email, and hit Save for automation. This will publish your automated email.

It is worth noting that contact and company personalization tokens can be used in any workflow type. However, if you insert a ticket or deal personalization token, the email can only be used in ticket or deal workflows respectively.

Alternatively, you can create automated emails with the drag and drop editor. It follows the same method. Open your HubSpot account, go to Marketing and select Email. Select Create email and then choose Automated when the dialog box appears.

Click on the Drag and drop tab, and then choose a template. Afterwards, you can start composing your email. Make sure that you set the email as automated when you click the Send tab. You may also use the Actions dropdown menu and select Convert in order to switch the email type. After this, just click Review and save, and click Save for automation.

Finally, you can also create automated emails using the workflow editor itself. At first your emails will look basic if you create them here, but you can always use the email editor to customize them.

Go to your HubSpot profile and choose ‘Workflows’ under ‘Automation’. From here you can either create a new workflow or choose an existing workflow. Next, click the plus icon (+) to add a workflow action, and then click on the Send email action. Click + Create new email.

You can enter the details of the email in the right panel. If you want to customize it further, you can click on the email tool link at the top. Compose your email and then hit Save email at the bottom. Saving your email will allow you to select it for use in any workflow. You can even access it for further editing through your email dashboard.
